Now happily married and chasing WSOP gold in the heart of Europe, many may have forgotten that just six years ago Negreanu was still chasing love…

…and the most eligible batchelor in Vegas became a star of the hit TV show Millionaire Matchmaker.

It was a love-lorn DNegs who appeared on the show, fed up with playing the field after a long-term relationship (with his future wife-to-be!) turned sour, and in his own words:

“Looking for is a woman who treats me well and doesn’t lie to me!”

With a room-full of women to choose from, Daniel took the advice of an astrologer and sought out ‘the person who isn’t talking to you… the person who isn’t coming at you.'

That came down to a choice between Lindsay and Cody, a couple of mini-dates seeing Kid Poker choose the former for the show’s finale, the pair jetting off to Vegas for an evening of fun and games.

Negreanu’s long-time haunt the Bellagio was first up, followed by the Cirque du Soleil, Negreanu revealing:

“The more I know Lindsay, the more confident I am I made the right choice.”

Dinner at a vegan restaurant, Russian dancing and blackjack-with-a-kiss topped off a memorable night out for the pair, with Negreanu asking Lindsay to date him ‘exclusively’.

They may have hit it off in Vegas, but the romance was short-lived, Negreanu tweeting a few weeks later:

“For those asking, I am single but me and Lindsay are still friends and she is a GREAT girl as advertised :-).”

DNegs has never been short of partners, of course, and pretty soon he’d be sporting a new woman on his arm, but when that eventually ran its course it would see a romantic full circle for Daniel…

Amanda Leatherman was back on the scene, and with both of them a bit older and wiser their romance rekindled, and Negreanu’s bachelor days were ended this year as the couple tied the knot!

A few weeks ago, we discussed how Daniel Negreanu was set to appear on the popular Bravo reality show “The Millionaire Matchmaker.” Well that day finally came as KidPoker sought out the advice of show host Patti Stangler in hopes of finding true love.

In the video introduction that he sent to Patti, Negreanu let her know that he’d dated a woman for four years, only to find out that “she’d been getting around” with other men. Because he was still hurt from this relationship, Stangler nicknamed him “Wounded Wally.”

Next up was an interesting trip to an astrologist, where the four-time WSOP champ learned that he wasn’t supposed to find his soulmate until at least 40 years old. The cosmic alignments must have been right in this case because Negreanu is 38 and still looking for that special lady.

After visiting the astrologist, Daniel went to a mixer that was set up by Stangler. The goal here was for Negreanu to meet a number of gorgeous women and find the one with an “Anna Farris” type of personality. He was eventually able to find one girl that met this ideal, and he took her on a date to Las Vegas.

The two seemed to hit it off right away as they checked out the set of a Vegas show and played blackjack. The latter actually led to the couple’s first kiss, and they only become more enamored with each other from here. Negreanu and his new blonde lover ended up spending a sexless night (at Patti’s request) together at his Vegas house – thus sealing their perfect match.
